Tuesday night saw the Aussies in full form. The Australian team defeated arch rival South Africa in a gutsy match by 6 wickets. A crowd of over 37 thousand cricket fans gathered in Gabba to view the cricket titans clash against each other.
Australia won the KFC 20Twenty cup by 2-0. Mike Hussey scored his maiden half century of his ODI career. He was lucky not to leave the pitch when he had only scored 2 runs thanks to a missed chance of stumping him. South African keeper, Mark Boucher, was not a popular man with fans of the Proteas that day. The host team, Australia, gained upon the South African total of 5-157 while there were still had 7 deliveries left till the end of the game.
